This version is a special release to support version 0.4.0 of the SSS
applications.  The intent was to use version 1.1 of the user software,
but we are not yet ready to release 1.1.  We could not have version
0.4.0 depend upon a user version 1.1-SNAPSHOT, because the snapshot
release is prone to updates.
